It is Difficult to believe that the first 1080p projectors just began delivery last fall - less than seven a few several weeks ago.

The 1080p trend began over two decades ago, when the Big Display TV producers began offering 1080p for the biggest and sharpest viewing encounter. 1080p, however really comes into it's own, with projectors! Finally, Optoma, discovering themselves to be at the top of the price range reduced their HD81 from $7999 to only $4299, and included a $300 refund to carry it down under $4000!

By my depend, there are now about 10 essential under $10,000 1080p projectors, with over 50 percent road costs from under $3000 to $4995!

Not amazingly, the surprising low costs of 1080p projectors is eliminating the revenue of the greater end 720p LCD, and individual processor DLP, projectors. That of course, considering the inexpensive price points for 1080p projectors, is no shock.

Which one is right for you?

Some highlights:

Best of the Best: JVC's DLA-RS1. This projector is a cut above the other sub-$10,000 competitors. The picture excellent is definitely amazing, the picture shiny, the positioning versatility excellent, and the dark stages - regarded to be the "holy grail" of  performance, far excellent to the competitors.

Down at the low end of the price range, factors are difficult to kind out. Film enthusiasts, may choose the Optoma HD81, despite its restricted positioning versatility. It gives you a very "film-like" picture, and is one of the smartest.

Panasonic's PT-AE1000U, is, in our viewpoint, the most film-like of the LCD operated 1080p projectors, and is function packed, but not as shiny as most of the area, so, your best option for those not looking to use one of the bigger screen styles (over 106" diagonal).

For those with restricted price range, but wanting the bigger displays, it's difficult to go incorrect with the Epson House Theatre 1080p, by far the smartest of the cheaper devices.

But the other two more costly under $5000 projectors, the Sony models VW50 "Pearl" and the Mitsubishi HC5000 each have their strong points. The Sony's picture excellent is perhaps the nearest to the JVC RS1, but provides a smooth picture (still very distinct in comparison to anything with 720p resolution), and is hardly regular in lighting. The Mitsubishi HC5000, is in the same way shiny, but provides the sharpest picture of them all, and is, as an extra, the most quiet of the projectors.
